Damian O'Sullivan
Chief Executive Officer
Damian's career path has led from language teacher and industry training consultant to multimedia developer and production manager. After several years producing interactive training products, Damian formed his first company Intuitive Training Solutions (ITS) and partnering with Swinburne University produced cutting edge educational resources for industry. ITS subsequently merged with CSI a company owned and operated by Damian's brothers. CSI offered hardware, IT support and networking solutions to several of Australia's leading companies. CSI grew rapidly and was acquired by Commander where Damian became Manager of Multimedia.
In 2002 Damian chose to leave Commander and form FinPa New Media. His vision is to create global, state of the art online education that inspires people.
Damian participated in the inaugural AIIA Developing Business Skills for ICT Entrepreneurs from which he also received mentoring from Australia's leading business people.
Damian continues to foster active participation in the industry via memberships of AIIA, AIMIA, ELNET, ASTD and the recently formed eLearning Industry Association of Victoria.
Damian recently won a Commercialising of Emerging Technologies (COMET) grant from AusIndustries and is working closely with COMET advisor and business mentor Bob Beaumont.
Damian is also actively looking for overseas markets and is part of the New Exporters Development Program (NEDP)
Roe Maas
Director
Roe has over 20 years experience as a teacher and industry training consultant in a range of positions in management, project management, industry training, resource development and instructional design (online & paper based). Roe has expertise in curriculum development across the National Training Agenda including the implementation of Training Packages.
She spent 3 years as manager of web and multimedia development at Commander Communications Pty Ltd. She was responsible for the day-to-day operation of a 12-person web and multimedia development team. Currently Roe is a director of FinPa, this includes a management consultancy position as leader of Opportunities and Development in the Innovation in Education unit at Swinburne University. She uses high-level communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills to motivate manage and direct multi-functional specialist teams.
Richard Xu
Director
19 years ago - as a freshman at China's Huazhong University of Science & Technology- Richard built his first information management system (a Student Record System). Having completed a Masters Degree in Materials Engineering, Richard moved to Australia to pursue a degree in Computer Science, resulting in another Masters degree!
He is now a highly regarded systems and database designer. Richard has a wealth of experience in systems / database and web development. He has high level skills in a broad range of languages inc C/C++, VB, ASP, SQL, XML, Perl, JavaScript/Java, PHP, Fortran, DHTML. Richard has built complex systems for the Catholic Education Office, Education Department of Hong Kong, and Visy Industries.
Sebastian Porto
Multimedia Manager
After finishing his degree in industrial design Sebastian started exploring the multimedia field, the process of shaping user interfaces came naturally to him, capturing his attention as a full time career.
After more than 10 years working in this field Sebastian has accumulated an impressive portfolio of successful projects. He has won several awards for his work and has been responsible for the biggest multimedia enterprise done in Peru, a collection of 10 CD-ROMs commissioned by leading Peruvian media distributor (El Comercio).
Beside his demonstrated capacity for creating visually appealing interfaces Sebastian also has extensive knowledge of ActionScript (Flash) and lingo(Director) enabling him to produce advanced multimedia experiences.
